I believe, God wants me to be happy. And while he’s working on teaching me to be happy he has plenty of time to see to your happiness too. After all he’s God. That’s God with a Big G. God wants some other things he wants you to pray, have faith in him and treat other the way you want to be treated, etc,etc. I don’t really need to go into details cause if you get it you got it. If not , ” chestnuts roasting on an open fire” and not a sign of Jack Frost.

So basically I understand how things work. God wants me to be happy but he won’t make me be happy . Just like he wants me to be compassionate, honest and an all around good guy but he doesn’t insist I be compassionate honest and an all around good guy. I have a choice, I have free will. Being god he made me that way. In his image I have free will and it is my responsibility to make the right choices in my life. And it is I who must live with the consequences of my choices. Sometimes it’s not fun. Remember the chestnuts. Good.

I think god wants us to remember something else when it comes to debt ,and getting out of debt. Think “render onto Caesar”. Enough said for me at least. God expects us to pay our debts. God expects us to deal with the consequences of our actions. Our over spending our means, our ignorance and our arrogance. But most of all God expects us to learn from the experience. God expects us to take the “discomfort” that comes into our lives and use it to become stronger better people.

God wants us to be debt free and to enjoy our lives. He wants us to enjoy the life he has given us. He wants us to be happy. It is however our responsibility to make the right choices. Pray and make the right choices and God will get what he wants.
