Free Debt Relief : Busy, Busy, Busy…not.

April 4th, 2007

One of the easiest ways to save money is to not do anything. Go to work and then straight home. Sit in your house and watch a little boob tube. Minimum spending and activity. Save, save save. I however have found that this approach isn’t even, as fun as it sounds. When you start to think that watching paint dry might be a nice exciting change of pace you come to realize you need a to do more than work and watch tv.

My experience has been that if I try to live a life of deprivation eventually I feel a need to spend aka waste some money. I feel a little spending claustraphobia. Not the best thing to feel because at some point your brain starts looking for a way to relieve the pressure.

When you start thinking how cool it would be to have this or that. You’ve started to set you imagination working against your willpower. According to Coue ( please forgive the lack of the accent.) imagination always wins the fight between imagination and willpower. I haven’t seen him proven wrong yet. Believe me that is not good for your debt relief efforts.

My best advice , keep yourself busy with free and/or cheap activities. I ‘ll write some suggestions tomorrow.
