Free Debt Relief : Debt Homeostasis Busting - Solving Small Problems part 4
January 10th, 2007Let me say for the record that working on small problems is not a license to ignore big problems. it is a way to cut bigger problems down to size and keeping small problems from growing into big ones.
If your house is on fire and you stop to dust the ashes off the credenza, you are a dope. However if you house is on fire and on you way out you close doors in an attempt to slow the fires spread you could be helping the situation. Slowing the fires spread will help to keep the fire from getting worse. Plugging the small holes in your budget should slow the your debts growth. Not the perfect analogy but you get the idea.
Your small action may help you deal with you bigger problem. Big problems can be intimidating. Solving small contributing problems can help you deal with the bigger issue by getting you moving and helping you drain some of the energy from the bigger problem. But the question is how do you learn to stop ignoring small problems and start solving them?
Well I’ll tell you. Just not right now, I have to work for a living you know. It is time to get ready for work.
